In this case, the Language Center included a series of activities by presenting the 3 best participants from the Gempita Bahasa event that they had held.

FIB USU PR - On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, the Malay Literature Study Program of Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held the 3rd Malay Cultural Festival at the Veranda of FIB USU. This activity started at 10.00 with the Malay opening dance performed by students from the Malay Literature Study Program class of 2023. Apart from that, this activity included five other Malay dances during the event. Other performances held at this activity were Senandung Melayu, Drama Melayu, Syair Melayu, and Nyanyian Melayu.

This activity was attended by the Head of the North Sumatra Province Language Center Hidayat Widiyanto, M.Pd and delegates from the Indonesian Malay Cultural Traditional Council (MABMI). The 3rd Malay Cultural Festival activity also presents a culinary bazaar to liven up the event. There are traditional and modern culinary delights presented to create a variety of foods. A total of 22 Bazaar tents were presented with a variety of food.

Apart from that, this activity invited guest stars such as Bunga Sirait and Tio (Dangdut Academy 5 Finalists), as well as Safri Winda Tambunan (Peksimida Winner) who performed typical Malay songs. Several alumni of the Malay Literature Study Program also attended the celebration of the III Malay Cultural Festival and contributed several typical Malay songs.

The activity continued with the handover of books produced by Malay Literature students and alumni, as well as the handover of souvenirs from the Language Hall in the context of collaboration between the Malay Cultural Festival and the Language Hall.
